Donatella Vincenti is a PhD candidate at LUISS University Guido Carli, Rome. She holds a BA in Arabic language and literature (2008), an MA in International Relations and Institutions of Asia and Africa (2011) and an MA in Economics and Institutions of Islamic Countries (2013). In January 2015 she obtained a visiting position at the Leiden University Institute for Area Studies (LIAS). She is currently writing her doctoral thesis on eco-Islam and social movements for sustainability in Arab-Islamic countries (expected 2016). Her main research interests are environmental ethics, sustainability issues, and religious environmentalism.
